Pressure vessels
Carbon steel separator vessel
Water removal from hydrocarbons and separation of liquids by density
Carbon steel housing for elements that separate one liquid from another, such as water entrained in a hydrocarbon. One or more elements, vertical or horizontal.
The liquid-liquid separator is a carbon steel pressure vessel that holds the cartridges that separate one liquid from another: water removal from hydrocarbons and separation of liquids by density. Depending on the element model, the liquid flows through the cartridge from the outside in or from the inside out.
Each unit is engineered and sized for the process flow rate to ASME VIII Division 1, API, NACE and PED 97/23/EC. It can be single-element or multi-element, in a vertical or horizontal configuration, with a quick-opening or bolted closure and the connections the installation requires.
Instrumentation is defined for each project—sight glass, pressure gauges, valves, manifold—and the exterior gets custom paint and surface treatment; it can also be skid-mounted. Our engineering department designs it, and we manufacture it at our metal fabrication plant.

Oil & Gas and powerOne liquid from another: the typical case is the water entrained in a hydrocarbon and, more generally, two liquids of different densities. The element inside is selected according to the two liquids and the process conditions.
Yes. Each unit is designed for the flow rate, pressure and connections of the process, with one or more elements and in a vertical or horizontal configuration. It ships with design calculations, detailed engineering with a 3D drawing, material and welder certificates, and a hydrostatic test.
Which liquids need to be separated and in what proportion, the flow rate, the operating pressure and temperature, and the connections. With that, the element, the number of elements and the vessel size are defined.
