MAG reactor
Preparation and mixing in sterile processes, with no shaft passing through the vessel
Metal fabrication plant · Argentina
Holding tanks to store and transfer product, and magnetically or mechanically agitated pharmaceutical reactors to prepare, mix and homogenize; the RLQ can also be built as a bioreactor. We design them for each process, with a jacket, load cells, instrumentation and the level of automation required, and build them in our metal fabrication plant.
AISI 316L stainless steel
Reactors with magnetic or mechanical agitation for preparing, mixing and homogenizing
Two series of agitated tanks for preparing solutions, formulating, dissolving and homogenizing in pharmaceutical, biotech and cosmetics processes. They share the same construction: product-contact parts in AISI 316L, interior polished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm and ASME BPE 2022 design; they operate from −1 to 3 bar and are suitable for CIP and SIP.
They differ in how they agitate. In the MAG series the agitator is magnetic: the motor stays outside and drives the impeller through the bottom, with no shaft passing through the vessel. In the RLQ series agitation is mechanical, with a vertical shaft, impellers chosen for each application and an optional mechanical seal for vacuum and pressure.
Both accept a thermal jacket, load cells, pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen and level sensors, and peristaltic pumps for additive dosing, and are supplied with no automation, with simple controllers or with full PLC automation. With that instrumentation and PLC automation, the RLQ can also be built as a bioreactor.

| Model | Agitation | Shaft entry | Main use |
|---|---|---|---|
| MAG reactor | Magnetic, coupled through the bottom | None: the motor stays outside the tank | Sterile processes and sensitive products |
| RLQ reactor | Mechanical, vertical shaft with single- or two-stage impellers | Through the top head, on a sanitary agitator mount, with optional mechanical seal | Mixing, dissolution and homogenization |

Sanitary tanks for storing, feeding critical lines and transferring product
The CLQ series holding tanks store and move product between stages of a pharmaceutical or biotech process: storage, critical line feeding and intermediate processes. They are not agitated.
They share the construction of the reactors: product-contact parts in AISI 316L, interior polished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm, and ASME BPE 2022 design to operate from −1 to 3 bar and go through CIP and SIP. The thermal jacket, load cells, level control and casters are added according to what each process needs.

Maintaining or raising the temperature of stored product
Moving product between operations without hoisting
Storage, critical line feeding and product transfer between stages
Frequently asked questions
ASME BPE 2022: product-contact parts in AISI 316L with an interior polished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm, a drainable and cleanable design, and documentation of materials and welds. They operate from −1 to 3 bar and are suitable for CIP and SIP.
Agitated tanks from 50 to 5,000 L working volume; holding tanks from 100 to 5,000 L. Each unit is sized for the batch volume and the space available in the plant.
Yes. The RLQ reactor is configured as a bioreactor, with pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature sensors, peristaltic pumps for dosing and full PLC automation, in AISI 316L with an interior Ra ≤ 0.4 µm and ASME BPE 2022 design.
A heating jacket with insulation (on the MAG reactor, also for cooling with glycol), load cells for formulating by weight, level control and, on agitated tanks, pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen sensors and peristaltic pumps for additive dosing. Agitated tanks are delivered with no automation, with simple controllers or with full PLC automation.
