Nylon 6,6 membrane cartridge
Microorganism control and fluid clarification in industrial processes
Nylon 6,6 membrane filter cartridge, from 0.1 to 1.2 µm and steam-sterilizable, for microbial control and clarification in industrial processes.
The UltraPure is a nylon 6,6 membrane filter cartridge for microorganism control and fluid clarification in industrial processes. It works as a final filter or as upstream protection for final filters, in bottled water, wine, unpasteurized alcoholic beverages, and pharmaceutical and biological solutions.
The membrane is naturally hydrophilic: it filters with high flow rates and a very low pressure drop. The 0.1 and 0.2 µm ratings retain more than 10⁷ Brevundimonas diminuta per cm², according to the FDA definition of sterilizing-grade filters; the 0.1 µm rating also retains more than 10⁴ Acholeplasma laidlawii per cm².
It withstands repeated steam sterilizations, in-line or in an autoclave, and sanitization with hot water at 80 °C and chemical cleaning and disinfection agents, so it can be reused. It is manufactured in an ISO 7 cleanroom.
Naturally hydrophilic: high flow rates and a very low pressure drop, as a final filter or as upstream protection.
0.1 and 0.2 µm: more than 10⁷/cm² of Brevundimonas diminuta. 0.45 µm: Serratia marcescens. 0.65 µm: Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes with steam at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave, and with hot water at 80 °C.
Peracetic acid up to 1 % (10,000 ppm) at room temperature and sodium hydroxide up to 1 %, in cycles of 30 to 60 minutes.
Materials compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177 and with European Commission Directive 2002/72/EC.
Polypropylene supports, cage, core, and ends, 222 and 226 adapters with internal reinforcement, and ISO 7 cleanroom manufacturing.
