Nylon 6,6 membrane cartridge
Microbial control and clarification in industrial, pharmaceutical, and water processes
Nylon 6,6 membrane cartridge, from 0.1 to 1.2 µm and steam-sterilizable, for water treatment, beverages, and pharmaceutical and biological solutions.
The UltraPure Plus is a nylon 6,6 membrane filter cartridge for microorganism control and fluid clarification in industrial processes. It works as a final filter or as upstream protection for final filters.
Its uses range from water treatment and beverages to parenteral solutions, ophthalmics, sera and blood products, biological products, veterinary pharmaceutical solutions, and culture media.
The membrane is naturally hydrophilic: it filters with high flow rates and a very low pressure drop. The 0.1 and 0.2 µm ratings retain more than 10⁷ Brevundimonas diminuta per cm², according to the FDA definition of sterilizing-grade filters; the 0.1 µm rating also retains more than 10⁴ Acholeplasma laidlawii per cm².
It withstands repeated steam sterilizations, in-line or in an autoclave, and sanitization with hot water at 80 °C and chemical cleaning and disinfection agents, so it can be reused. It is manufactured in an ISO 7 cleanroom.
Naturally hydrophilic: high flow rates and a very low pressure drop, as a final filter or as upstream protection.
0.1 and 0.2 µm: more than 10⁷/cm² of Brevundimonas diminuta. 0.45 µm: Serratia marcescens. 0.65 µm: Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Parenteral solutions, ophthalmics, sera and blood products, biological products, culture media, and water treatment.
Multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes with steam at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave, and with hot water at 80 °C.
Peracetic acid up to 1 % (10,000 ppm) at room temperature and sodium hydroxide up to 1 %, in cycles of 30 to 60 minutes.
Materials compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177 and Directive 2002/72/EC for food contact, and manufactured in an ISO 7 cleanroom.
