Nylon 6,6 membrane cartridge
Microbial stabilization of food and beverages with 9,500 cm² per 10″
Nylon 6,6 membrane cartridge from 0.1 to 1.2 µm with 9,500 cm² per 10″, for microbial stabilization and particle removal in food and beverages.
The UltraPure Plus F&B is an extended-area nylon 6,6 membrane filter cartridge: 9,500 cm² per 10″. It is designed for microbial stabilization and particle removal in the food and beverage industry, as a final filter or as upstream protection for final filters.
The extended area, combined with a naturally hydrophilic membrane, allows high flow rates with a very low pressure drop. The 0.1 and 0.2 µm ratings retain more than 10⁷ Brevundimonas diminuta per cm², according to the FDA definition of sterilizing-grade filters.
100 % of the cartridges are tested at the plant, and integrity is checked at origin by diffusive flow. The cartridge also has diffusive flow and bubble point integrity values so that users can repeat the test at their facility.
It withstands repeated steam sterilizations, in-line or in an autoclave, and sanitization with hot water at 80 °C and chemical cleaning and disinfection agents, so it can be reused.
Extended area that, together with the hydrophilic membrane, provides high flow rates and a very low pressure drop.
0.1 and 0.2 µm: more than 10⁷/cm² of Brevundimonas diminuta. 0.45 µm: Serratia marcescens. 0.65 µm: Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Checked at the plant by diffusive flow, with diffusive flow and bubble point values for repeating the test at the facility.
Multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes with steam at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave, and with hot water at 80 °C.
FDA 21 CFR 177 materials, Directive 2002/72/EC, and migration testing per the Argentine Food Code and Mercosur SGT3.
After manufacturing, each cartridge is rinsed with purified water to remove manufacturing extractables.

Yes. The catalog specifies it for the final filtration of wine, bottled water, and unpasteurized alcoholic beverages, and as a prefilter ahead of final filters. For yeasts, the 0.65 µm rating retains more than 10⁷ Saccharomyces cerevisiae per cm².
Yes. It withstands multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes at 121 °C, with in-line steam or in an autoclave, and the cartridge can be reused. It is recommended only for single-open-end cartridges with internal reinforcement at the 226 or 222 O-ring fitting.
Yes. 100 % of the cartridges are tested at the factory and integrity is checked by diffusive flow; in addition, the cartridge has diffusive flow and bubble point integrity values so that users can repeat the test.
Peracetic acid up to 1 % (10,000 ppm) at room temperature for sanitizing, and sodium hydroxide up to 1 % (10,000 ppm) for cleaning, in multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes.
