Dual-layer glass microfiber cartridge
High-density prefiltration for critical clarification and membrane protection
Glass microfiber cartridge with a high-density prefilter, 0.45 to 1.2 µm, for critical clarification and protection of 0.2 and 0.45 µm membranes.
The MicroFiber Max is a glass microfiber cartridge for critical clarification processes. It incorporates a first layer of high-density glass microfiber, designed to maximize contaminant-holding capacity, followed by a final retention layer, also of glass microfiber.
This integrated two-stage architecture captures colloids and fine particles in stages and avoids surface blinding of the medium, which extends the service life of the final filter. It makes it possible to process larger batches with a single cartridge and to reduce line stoppages. It is designed as a prefilter for 0.2 and 0.45 µm sterilizing filtration membranes.
It is 100 % thermally welded and adhesive-free, with inert glass microfiber and a polypropylene structure. It is manufactured in a cleanroom environment, with materials that comply with FDA 21 CFR for food and beverage contact.
First layer of densified glass microfiber that retains solids before they reach the final retention layer.
Captures colloids and fine particles in stages and avoids surface blinding of the medium.
Designed as a prefilter for sterilizing filtration membranes.
0.45, 0.65, and 1.2 µm, with 0.45 m² of filtration area per 10″ module.
Inert glass microfiber, 100 % thermally welded and adhesive-free.
Multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes; it also withstands peracetic acid or sodium hydroxide up to 1 %.

It is made of high-density glass microfiber: it retains solids before they reach the final retention layer, which is also glass microfiber. This way it captures colloids and fine particles in stages and avoids surface blinding.
0.45, 0.65, and 1.2 µm, in lengths of 10″, 20″, 30″, and 40″, with a 2.7″ (68 mm) outside diameter.
Yes. Wine is among its beverage applications, along with beer, bottled water, juices, and spirits. Its materials comply with FDA 21 CFR for food and beverage contact.
Up to 80 °C operating temperature. The maximum differential pressure is 5.5 bar at 25 °C forward and 2.1 bar at 25 °C reverse.
When the goal is the highest dirt-holding capacity ahead of a 0.2 or 0.45 µm final membrane: the MicroFiber Max has a densified prefilter and micron ratings from 0.45 to 1.2 µm. The MicroFiber Protec covers 0.45 to 20 µm and has more area: 0.65 m² per 10″, versus 0.45 m².
