Glass microfiber cartridge
Prefiltration with graded-density, high-area glass microfiber
Graded-density glass microfiber cartridge, 0.45 to 40 µm, with 0.8 m² per 10″. Membrane prefilter for beverages, water, and pharmaceuticals.
The MicroFiber Plus is a glass microfiber filter cartridge for prefiltration of fluids ahead of final membrane filters. Its depth medium, with a graded-density structure and 0.8 m² of area per 10″, traps particles, colloids, and other contaminants throughout its thickness.
It is designed to extend the service life of 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 µm final membranes. The structure of the medium allows high flow rates with a low pressure drop.
It is 100 % thermally welded, with no adhesives: the glass microfiber is inert and does not shed fibers, and the core, cage, and other components are polypropylene. It withstands steam sterilization at 121 °C and sanitization with hot water at 80 °C or with chemicals. It is manufactured in a cleanroom environment, with materials that comply with FDA 21 CFR for food and beverage contact.
Graded-density depth medium that retains contaminants throughout its structure.
Eight micron ratings: 0.45, 0.6, 1, 3, 5, 10, 25, and 40 µm.
The filter medium structure handles high flows with minimal pressure drop.
Prefilter for 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 µm final membranes.
No adhesives. Inert glass microfiber that does not shed fibers; polypropylene core and cage.
Multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes in single-open-end cartridges; it also withstands chemical sanitization.

No. The glass microfiber is inert and does not shed fibers, and the cartridge is 100 % thermally welded, with no adhesives.
Up to 80 °C operating temperature. The maximum differential pressure is 5.5 bar at 25 °C forward and 2.1 bar at 25 °C reverse.
Yes, with multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave, in single-open-end cartridges. It also withstands hot water at 80 °C and peracetic acid or sodium hydroxide up to 1 %.
For 0.2, 0.45, and 0.65 µm final membranes, whose service life it extends.
