Dual-layer pleated polypropylene cartridge
Dual-layer pleated polypropylene: two filtration stages in one cartridge
Dual-layer pleated polypropylene cartridge, 0.45 to 3 µm, for water, beverage, wine, and chemical prefiltration and reverse osmosis pretreatment.
The ProFlow is a pleated polypropylene filter cartridge made with progressive-porosity polypropylene microfibers to retain particles in fluids with a high contaminant load.
Its medium is dual-layer: a prefilter layer and a final layer in the same element, that is, two filtration stages in a single cartridge. It starts with a higher clean pressure drop but takes more time and more processed volume to reach the change-out differential pressure.
All of its components are polypropylene, joined by heat sealing and free of additives, surfactants, and post-treatments after the medium is manufactured: broad chemical compatibility and low extractables levels. It is offered in 0.45, 0.65, 1.2, and 3 µm, with a 2.75″ diameter and lengths from 10 to 40″.
Polypropylene prefilter layer and final layer in the same element: two filtration stages in one.
Starts with a higher clean pressure drop but reaches the change-out pressure after more time and more processed volume.
Polypropylene medium, supports, cage, core, ends, and adapters: broad chemical compatibility and low extractables.
Components joined by heat sealing, with no additives, surfactants, or post-treatments after the medium is manufactured.
30 to 60 min cycles in-line or in an autoclave. Also sanitizable with water at 80 °C and chemicals.

It combines two filtration stages in a single cartridge: a prefilter layer and a final layer, both polypropylene. The cartridge starts with a higher clean pressure drop but takes more time and more processed volume to reach the change-out differential pressure.
0.45, 0.65, 1.2, and 3 µm, in lengths of 10, 20, 30, and 40″, with a 2.75″ (70 mm) nominal diameter.
Yes. It withstands multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave. This is recommended only for single-open-end cartridges with internal reinforcement at the 226 / 222 O-ring fitting. It can also be sanitized with water at 80 °C and with peracetic acid or sodium hydroxide up to 1 %.
At a maximum differential pressure of 2 bar. The cartridge withstands up to 5.5 bar (80 psi) at 25 °C in the forward direction and 0.69 bar (10 psi) at 25 °C in reverse flow.
Its materials are compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177 for food contact, it complies with European Directive 2002/72/EC, and its components are non-toxic according to the migration test of the Argentine Food Code and Mercosur SGT3 standards.
