Absolute dual-layer polypropylene cartridge
Dual-layer pleated polypropylene with an absolute rating from 0.2 to 10 µm
Absolute-rated, dual-layer pleated polypropylene filter cartridge, 0.2 to 10 µm, for prefiltration of water, beverages, wine, chemicals, and compressed gases.
The ProFlow Protec is an absolute-rated pleated polypropylene filter cartridge made with progressive-porosity polypropylene microfibers to retain particles in fluids with a high contaminant load.
The Protec version has a dual-layer medium: a prefilter layer and a final layer in the same element, that is, two filtration stages in a single cartridge. With 6,000 cm² of filtration area per 10″, it starts with a higher clean pressure drop but takes more time and more processed volume to reach the change-out differential pressure.
Retention is absolute in all its ratings, from 0.2 to 10 µm. All components are polypropylene, joined by heat sealing and free of additives, surfactants, and post-treatments: broad chemical compatibility and low extractables levels.
Eight ratings: 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.2, 2.5, 5, and 10 µm, in lengths of 10, 20, 30, and 40″.
Polypropylene prefilter layer and final layer in the same filter element.
Starts with a higher clean pressure drop but reaches the change-out pressure after more time and more processed volume.
Heat-sealed, with no additives, surfactants, or post-treatments. Broad chemical compatibility and low extractables.
Multiple 30 to 60 min cycles. Also sanitizable with water at 80 °C and with chemicals up to 1 %.
FDA 21 CFR 177 materials and non-toxic components according to the Argentine Food Code migration test.

Yes. The catalog states an absolute rating in the 0.2 to 10 µm grades: 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.2, 2.5, 5, and 10 µm.
It combines two filtration stages in a single cartridge: a prefilter layer and a final layer, both polypropylene. The cartridge starts with a higher clean pressure drop but takes more time and more processed volume to reach the change-out differential pressure.
Yes. It withstands multiple cycles of 30 to 60 minutes at 121 °C, in-line or in an autoclave. This is recommended only for single-open-end cartridges with internal reinforcement at the 226 / 222 O-ring fitting.
At a maximum differential pressure of 2 bar. The cartridge withstands up to 5.5 bar (80 psi) at 25 °C in the forward direction and 0.69 bar (10 psi) at 25 °C in reverse flow.
Yes. The catalog lists it for compressed gases and vents, as well as water, reverse osmosis pretreatment, prefiltration ahead of final filters, beverages, wine, chemicals, solvents, and cosmetics.
