Description

AgileConnect Y-type and X-type connectors and straight reducers are pharmaceutical-grade polypropylene fittings for building the transfer lines of a single-use system: branching one line into two, splitting or combining flows across four equal ways, or joining tubing of different diameters.

All of them connect directly to the tubing—silicone, TPE, and other flexible bioprocess tubing—and have a smooth surface to reduce fluid retention. The polypropylene is USP Class VI grade and free of animal-derived components (TSE/BSE). The reducers have a tapered shape and seal without additional clamps.

They can be sterilized in an autoclave at up to 121 °C or by gamma irradiation at 25 to 45 kGy, and they are double-bagged in PE for entry into an ISO 7 cleanroom, in packs of 10.

Three geometries

Y to branch a line, four-way X to split or combine flows, and reducers to join tubing of different diameters.

Tubing from 1/16″ to 3/4″

Y connectors from 1/16″ to 3/4″; X for 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″; reducers from 1/4″ × 1/8″ to 1/2″ × 3/4″.

USP Class VI polypropylene

Pharmaceutical-grade polypropylene, free of animal-derived components (TSE/BSE).

Smooth surface

Minimal fluid retention in transfer lines, in manifolds, and in bag, filter, and pump connections.

Autoclave or gamma

Sterilizable in an autoclave at up to 121 °C or by gamma irradiation at 25 to 45 kGy.

Double PE bag

Packaged for entry into an ISO 7 cleanroom, in packs of 10.

Frequently asked questions

What tubing sizes are available?

Y connectors for 1/16″, 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ tubing (Y1 to Y7). X connectors, with four equal ways, for 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ (X4, X5, and X6). The reducers join 1/4″ to 1/8″, 3/8″ to 1/4″, 1/2″ to 1/4″, 1/2″ to 3/8″, and 1/2″ to 3/4″.

How are they sterilized?

In an autoclave at up to 121 °C or by gamma irradiation at 25 to 45 kGy.

Do the reducers need a clamp?

No. Thanks to their tapered shape and smooth surface, they seal directly on the tubing, without additional clamps.

How are they packaged?

In double PE bags for entry into an ISO 7 cleanroom, in packs of 10 per part number.
