Description
The AgileConnect clamp set brings together the parts of a clamp joint in a single-use system: the clamp-to-hose-barb connector, the clamp, the silicone gasket, and the end cap for ports left unused.
The clamp-to-hose-barb connectors (CHB4 to CHB8) go from a standard 1 1/2″ clamp connection to 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″, or 1″ tubing. They are made of polypropylene suitable for food and drug contact, with a smooth inner surface for free flow and minimal entrapment. They are used to connect single-use bags to process equipment, in transfer and sampling manifolds, in aseptic filling, and to interconnect filters, sensors, and valves.
The clamps (CLC7 and CLC10) are made of lightweight reinforced polypropylene: they install without special tools, can be connected and disconnected repeatedly without deforming, and work on both plastic and metal connections. The gaskets (JC-0075-SIL and JC-0150-SIL) are latex-free medical-grade silicone, reusable or single-use depending on the process. The end caps (CBL7 and CBL10) close unused clamp ports and keep them sterile, or seal a port for a pressure test.
All parts can be sterilized in an autoclave at 121 °C or by gamma irradiation at 25 to 45 kGy, and they are double-bagged for entry into an ISO 7 cleanroom.
